Debian - syslog auf andere Partition
Hallo,
kennt jemand die config, wo steht, wo die Datei syslog geschrieben wird (Standard: /var/log/ ) und sie umleiten kann, z.B. auf /home/syslog/ ?

sudo grep -ri /var/log/syslog /etc
sollte Dir Auskunft geben.

PS: /etc/rsyslog.d/* ist eine gute Anlaufstelle.

bin wohl einfach etwas müde. Hier kann man den Pfad ändern.

Vergiß aber nciht, auch in /etc/rsyslog.d/* reinzuschauen. Da legen mache Programme Ihre Konfigurationsdateien ab, die dann das log auch in /var/log/syslog schreiben sollen. Sonst hast du eventuell zwei Syslogdateien, eine in /home und eine in /var/log.
